A Theatre With A Night Sky

29 04 2008

I was in a huge theatre, but it had no walls, roof, or movie screen, (think of an IMAX theatre but with just the seats) instead it was just the night sky above us. It was brighter than usual, and it was beautiful.

I was holding this.. thing, which I honestly can’t explain because I don’t remember what it looked like, but it was small, and everytime I turned it the sky would turn also. At first it was great, I thought it was amazing, but then it started to get scary because I would turn it and the whole sky would shift into a vortex – and it slowly pulled everyone into it. The sky turned all different colors, and I tried to turn it back but it wasn’t working. It just kept pulling everyone in, and that’s all I remember.

Sorry this one was lame, I wish I remembered more of it.

That’s pretty cool. Kind of frightening. Hmm… maybe you feel guilty about something?

Hm, yeah maybe. But I can’t think of anything I feel guilty about, maybe it’s something I don’t realize.

Not lame at all. No dream is lame, and it’s difficult to remember them, so the memory part isn’t lame either. Dr. Schenck and the other leading legitimate sleep experts say dreams don’t have any specific meaning – they are just bits and pieces of our life experiences and memories jumbled together. We might want there to be meaning, and therefore sort of force or assign a meaning to a dream, but the current state-of-the-art peer reviewed research says otherwise. You just have healthy serotonin activity. Don’t take them too seriously. That doesn’t mean you can’t have fun with dreams, though. Keep writing. It’s very creative.
